what rules bethelites have to agree to"''"the following was overheard on rick fearons phone conference of september 11, 2010, but i think at least one rule was left out and number 12 is lacking some wording.
the group listening laughed at number 11. insightful.. .

lately i've been making a lot of negative comments about the wts at family gatherings, trying to plant seeds of doubt whenever i can.
but my wife thinks i'm going overboard and starting to raise suspicion.
we had a huge argument last night because i told her i'd rather not go to the gatherings at all than to stay quiet.
I have been doing kind of what Chrisjoel said, changing the subject quickly to anything trivial.
But sometimes like the other day when one of my relatives was going on and on about what a wonderful day in service we had. It was just so great!
I decided to ask questions of great detail. Like why was it so good? Did you start a study? do you think you will be able to convert them? Did they offer you coffee? When are you going back? How long was the call ? did you place anything? Do you think they will read it?
The family member eventually got tired and I think she realized how stupid it sounded and she changed the subject.

few months ago in my country (eastern europe) a letter was read in congregation, that the "united in worship of the only true god" (the blue book people studied as a second book after "you can live forever"...) is updated an replaced by another book and all publishers should bring their copies to elders.
the reason presented was that brothers (due to efficiency) want to recykle the books ecologicaly (iam not making this up).
it was literally said, that all books should be taken to the kh and not a single copy should be kept home.. when my mil told us that (we were not going to meetings at that time already with my wife) i told her, that as far as i know brothers do not have any recykling facility and if they do and want to be ecological, they should ask for all updatet publications, not just for this book.
The book is on the 2007 cd. It is the same as the hard copy 1983 version. Here is a couple quotes about 1914 from it.
*** uw chap. 23 p. 176 par. 2 Keep Close in Mind Jehovah's Day ***
The Scriptures clearly show that the "generation" that saw the beginning of Christ's presence would also see the "great day of Jehovah" in which he executes judgment against all who practice unrighteousness. (Matt. 24:34; Zeph. 1:14-2:3) That "generation" is now well along in years.
*** uw chap. 22 pp. 169-170 par. 2 Continue to Speak God's Word With Boldness ***
2 In the year 1914 C.E. an even more marvelous event of universal importance took place. God's Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ actually was established in heaven. Next, Satan and his demons were hurled down to the earth. (Rev. 12:1-5, 7-12) The last days of the present wicked system had begun. Before the generation that witnessed the events of 1914 dies off, God will crush the entire Satanic system of things. (Matt. 24:34) Survivors will have before them the prospect of eternal life. In fulfillment of God's original purpose, all the earth will become a Paradise. If you have already embraced this good news, you have the responsibility to share it with others. (Matt. 24:14) But what response can you expect?

i never saw this on jwn, either i missed it or it wasn't here, so i post.. this is a recent story (july 27) and a follow-up on the second video:.

I don't know exactly how it goes down now, but it's not like they old days where kids are packing shingles onto the roof.
The Borg is very careful about who they allow the "priveledge" of volenteering. Since most witnesses I know are in the construction or service industry they go to these builds and do the same job they are qualified to do on a daily basis.
Since the medical bills will be covered by provincial medical. The question that I have is, was the operator using his own crane. It was probably quite damaged. I wonder if it is covered by their insurance or will he be fixing that himself.
I like how they are conducting their own investigation? What does that even mean? They have probably formed a judicial commitee, who have determined that the accident was not seen by two or more witnesses and therefore never happened.

this has not happened to me personally ,but was told to me by a reinstated member.
a sister who was reinstated, accompanied her mom to another sisters house for dinner.
and a movie.
*** w56 10/1 p. 595 par. 32 Marriage Obligations and Divorce ***
If after disfellowshipment that one shows the fruitage of repentance and seeks to get back into the congregation, that one may be reinstated and put on a long probation, for at least a year, and then, being found on good behavior, he may be formally relieved of the restrictions imposed upon him and be fully received back.-1 Cor. 5:1-5, 13; 2 Cor. 2:5-11.
They are just following the rules. The mom was probably aware of these restriction and thought it was part of her daughters punishment.
There are newer quotes than this but this one came to mind first. It was reffering to someone who had been df'd for adultery. Which may have been the case we don't know. However I think the same principle applies to most dis-fellowshippings.

Manners were absent on both sides of this scenario.
However, these are people who claim to be Jehovah's chosen people. If Jesus threw a dinner party and a guest had brought someone who was lonely and downtrodden, needing the fellowship of other christians. Would he deny them food? Would he forgive them if there was bad blood?
Jesus took so many opportunities in the bible to illustrate the need to help and specifically feed people, it obviously was important to him.
I would not have brought an uninvited guest to a party unless I was very sure that the hostess would have been cool with it. However in my experience witnesses generally are clicky. They do not want to mix with the unworthies in the cong.. This is a definite sign that they are not His followers.
My mom would have stayed.

i went into my favorite cafe this afternoon for lunch and saw a husband and wife that go to the congregation i used to go to.
the woman is a pioneer and has been for years and her husband is an elder who i've talked to a couple of times since i stopped going to meetings 3 years ago but i have not talked to her in 3 years.. when i got my lunch, i looked up and noticed them sitting by the window so i went over to them and said hello.
he said hi but when i said hello to the woman she just kinda looked at me.
and.. she is so upset by your leaving but she hasn't tried to contact you in three years! The love is so not in that religion.

They just don't know how to feel. The want to shun you but they know it's wrong so they try to make confrontations to show how irrational you are. Such typical witness behavior. I am so glad you were calm and gave her a hug. It exactly the opposite of what she thought would happen, I bet. Now she has a great story to tell in the cargroup tomorrow. Good job Ld

does a bear shit in the woods?...
i`ve never really cared about that question until today... bears do shit in the woods.....more importantly on my lawn... .
the garbage can took a beating.....it`s bear proof but has some really cool bear scars now... he dragged his huge bear bum up my cherry tree.....busted branch's everywhere... .
I've got a B.C. Black bear in my neighborhood right now too.
He is destroying my plum trees one at a time. We put out a infrared wildlife camera,
that makes for some interesting pics in the morning.
There is a hell of a lot more than bears in these woods.
